To do this I did a quick process in Camera Raw, Converted to B&W, then brought some slight colour back. Then created a background layer and after select and masking the subject, I then played with curves, filters and sharpened the image.
The background reminds me of my brain sometimes? So much swirling in it on possibilities for life
